In the course of conducting our business operations, it is necessary to collect personal information and, at times, sensitive information about candidates and contractors. At Alan J Knight Recruitment ("AJK") we are committed to protecting the rights of our clients' and candidates' privacy with our obligations in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as amended by the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 (Cth) ("Act") and it's National Privacy Principles (NPP's) (hereafter referred to as "the Privacy Act") which set out standards for the collection, use, disclosure and handling of personal and business information.

Candidates

The information provided by you via telephone, email, registration form, interview, resume/curriculum vitae etc will only be used for the purpose for which it is intended, that is to recommend you to our clients for consideration for employment. We may add your details to our database, unless you have specified that we may not do so. 'AJK' holds information in both hard copy and/or computer-based files at our office. We respect each individual's privacy and have taken steps to ensure the protection of your personal information. You can visit our website and browse without the need to disclose any personal information.

Employers

Information supplied to employers by 'AJK' is provided in the strictest confidence and is for the sole purpose of assessing a candidate's suitability for employment with your firm. 'AJK expects that you will comply with the above, and any requirements of "the Privacy Act". The information supplied is not to be passed on to any other third party, unless specific permission has been granted by the candidate.
